Blue Gray Gnatcatcher all over the apple and thornapples in our back yard Sunday afternoon. I have never seen one here in 30 years.

The hawks are migrating! A sharpie made a pass at the goldfinches on the tube feeder this a.m. while a sparrow hawk took up position in a spruce over our freshly mowed field.

I have been seeing foxes all over the island, some with cubs. It must be a boom year for foxes on Deer Isle.
