STORY OF PUBLIC ACCESS
In 1996, Elizabeth placed a Conservation Easement on the property which is held by Island Heritage Trust. Then in 2003, she generously gave the beach on the Gray’s Cove side of Oak Point Road to IHT feeling that the beach was used by so many fishermen and other islanders that it should remain open for public use. It was her wish that the beach be called Reach Beach at Gray’s Cove.
